West Coast coffee producers continue to make waves on the East Coast, specifically in New York. While Santa Rosa cult favorite Ecco is now supplying for Jonathan Rubinstein's Joe and LA's Intelligentsia continuing to make waves, San Francisco-based Four Barrel has scored a spot on Danny Meyer's Maialino menu after a series of blind tastings. Furthermore, Four Barrel might be opening a second Four Barrel roaster offshoot—"possibly in Red Hook"—by early 2010. [NYT]
