Symon to Open a Burger Joint; Chicago's New Crackdown

CLEVELAND—The latest big name chef to embark on a burger project is Iron Chef Michael Symon. Symon will open B Spot Bar within the confines of Quicken Loans Arena, home of the Cleveland Cavs. Symon is still working on a B Spot Bar on the other side of town too. [RI]

CHICAGO—Members of the Chicago chef community are up in arms because the city has been cracking down on meat curing and pickling regulations. Says one restaurant owner: "Clearly we’re at a point in time where there is a conflict between [the government’s] idea of safety and our idea of deliciousness." [Time Out]
