Former Gourmet Writer Scooped Up By Salon

Forgive us if this is a bit inside baseball, but it's worth noting/applauding the fact that Francis Lam—one of the more prolific writers for Gourmet recently—has been hired by Salon as the online magazine's new senior food writer. Among other duties, he'll be heading Salon's upcoming food section, which you'll recall, has been quietly in the works lately. Congrats to all.
