Arguably the most significant restaurant opening of the week took place today with the debut of The Breslin in Manhattan's Flatiron District. It's the brainchild of Ken Friedman and April Bloomfied, the pair behind the mega-hit that is the Spotted Pig. As you can see from the above shot, The Breslin is a show-stopper (more photos here), and with Bloomfield in the kitchen, it will showcase hearty fare like raclette, mussels & cockles in beer, crispy fried rabbit, and what Alain Ducasse has already anointed the best fries in the city.
