Today marks the launch of a national campaign that asks chefs/restaurants to take the "Save Our Seafood pledge” not to serve items from the Seafood Watch “avoid” list. Already many high-profile chefs have taken said pledge (Rick Bayless, Rick Moonen, Michelle Bernstein, et al.), but maybe more notable is the accompanying report that notes that this year, for the first time in history, humans will eat more farm-raised seafood than wild caught.
