Michelin's Latest Conquest

For the first time, Michelin has released a guide in Kyoto/Osaka, marking the French guide's second foray into Japan after several years of doing only Tokyo. In the first go-around, Michelin handed out three stars to seven restaurants in Kyoto and Osaka, six of which are considered "traditional" Japanese. The entire US has only six three-stars total.
