Today Eater returns once again to Pittsburgh, PA to focus on eight restaurants that have opened within the past 12 months and are garnering some serious buzz. As like last time around, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette dining critic Melissa McCart has kindly offered her picks for the hottest dining and drinking establishments her city has to offer.
Among her picks are two hot spots within Sienna Mercato (Mezzo, Il Tetto), the dining destination that is home to three separate concepts. Above the city a new restaurant is serving up a sophisticated but playful seasonal menu (Altius), and a whiskey-loving restaurant has become mainstay as its chef plans his next project (Butcher and the Rye).
