Tired of running out to the grocery store to overpay for prepackaged hummus every time you need your fix? Well, if you keep a few simple ingredients on hand, you can make the delicacy at home anytime you want. This video from Silently Cooking offers a hassle-free recipe.
To execute the dish, you'll need a can of chickpeas; a garlic clove; one lemon; and a little bit of tahini, extra virgin olive oil, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and pepper. Give the garlic a spin in your food processor and add in the remaining ingredients, aside from the olive oil. Once that's blended, slowly drizzle in the oil and remove the contents to a serving bowl. Sprinkle a little paprika on top, and you have a tasty dip for vegetables, pita, and more.
If the idea of DIY hummus gets you in the mood for more Mediterranean fare, consider making some falafel at home too.
