Earlier this week, Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives staged a 26-hour sit-in in an effort to force a vote on gun control. They ultimately failed on the political front, but not before inadvertently shilling for Chick-fil-A, Pepsi, Snickers, Domino's, Dunkin' Donuts, and other food brands. Last night on the Late Late Show, host James Corden — famous for his carpool karaoke segments — compared the sit-in to a slumber party with pizza and snacks. "If you're going to be anywhere for 26 hours, you're going to need some snacks... the truth is, I don't know if this sit-in will change anything, but this slumber party looks amazing..." He continued: "If I was in congress, I would have a sit-every other issue. I'd be like, 'alright, we need to introduce this signing bill. Dave, pull up the Domino's app.... Garlic knots [anyone]? Garlic knots? Garlic knots?'" Watch the full clip, including other political jabs, above.
