Not only has McDonald's menu drastically expanded since it first opened in 1955, its serving sizes have also increased dramatically, as demonstrated by this video. The chain used to have only one size option for many items. French fries were always 2.4 ounces, but now a small is 2.6 ounces, and fry-loving customers can purchase a container that is 5.9 ounces, or more than twice the original size. The drink cups may be the most dramatic of the changes. Sodas used to be served only in 7 fluid ounce containers, but now customers can purchase drinks as large as 30 fluid ounces. Go, watch to see just how different the burgers are today.
