Plenty of restaurant kitchens are so gross that they're forced to shut down, but one Florida eatery is fighting back against the state's health department. After several violations — live maggots, rodent feces, and more (shudder) — were discovered on multiple visits, the owner of Red Lantern Chinese Food kicked a health inspector out during the middle of an inspection, reports WPLG-TV. A field reporter and camera crew for the station tried to interview Red Lantern's owner, but they were shown the door, too.
Incredibly, the restaurant has a four-star rating on Yelp and Google. This comes despite the fact that Red Lantern was shut down after several repeat violations, before finally cleaning up enough to reopen.
