Here are some more details about Disney's upcoming Indiana Jones-themed bar in Orlando, Fla. Called Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, it is named after Jones' "longtime pilot and occasional tormentor." According to NY Daily News, the bar will officially open in Downtown Disney September 22.
The 150-seat establishment will look like an actual airplane hangar and will feature plenty of memorabilia from the film series. The decor will include ceiling fans made to look like plane propellers and the walls will be covered with travel posters and "correspondence between Jock, Indy and their fellow adventurers."
The menu is also heavily themed, per the Disney Parks Blog: There will be drinks like a "Hovito Mojito," made with pisco and fresh lime juice, and "Air Pirates Everything Pretzels," which come with a beer cheese fondue. The restaurant will also offer the "Snack of Ra" which features "salads and dips served with injera and naan crisps" and deviled eggs with a lump crab filling called "Dr. Elsa's She-Deviled Eggs." Plus, as previously reported, "Rolling Boulder Meatball" sliders will be available.
September is a big month for restaurant openings at Downtown Disney. Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will open his new pan-Asian restaurant September 30. Called Morimoto Asia, the restaurant features the chef's take on dishes like kung pao chicken, dumplings, and Peking duck. The two-story restaurant will also feature a 14-seat sushi counter and a signature beer made by Rogue Ales.
