Barbecue master Aaron Franklin stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday to chat about his new cookbook Franklin Barbecue: A Meat-Smoking Manifesto. Host Jimmy Kimmel reveals that Franklin is also there to "teach us a very, very important lesson. A lesson most people don't get to learn... how to smoke brisket." Franklin proceeds to prepare a cut of beef for the brisket by trimming some of the fat with a knife, after which Kimmel cheekily asks, "Can do you do this to your stomach too after you eat this?" Franklin then proceeds to coat the meat with a salt and pepper rub, advising the audience to always keep once hand clean so that you can use it grab your beer. Go, watch.
