Coffee enthusiasts rejoice: It looks like a new smart grinder may hit the market soon. According to Tech Hive, it's called Handground and the design was crowd-sourced. The team behind the device turned to the internet for what features their device should contain. The result? A grinder with a locking top to prevent bean particles from flying out, a side-mounted handle for better ergonomics, enough space to hold beans for five full cups of coffee, and 20 preset coarseness options for any style of brewing.
The Handground team launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money and so far it has been incredibly successful. Not only did they managed to raise the $35,000 they were looking for, they did so in just 18 hours. Currently, the campaign has over $162,423 in pledges with 16 days left to go. For donating $55, a Handground grinder can be yours. It might be worth the investment: No doubt a cup of coffee would go well with a waffle from this Kickstarter-backed keyboard shaped waffle maker.
