Anthony Bourdain's French chef BFF Eric Ripert (Le Bernardin) is bringing his show to the Cooking Channel. According to a press release, the network will air a brand new season of Ripert's Emmy- and James Beard Award-winning series Avec Eric. The first two seasons originally aired on PBS. After a lengthy hiatus, the show has been "revamped" and the third season will trace "Ripert's journey as he explores the people, places, cultures, and ingredients that influence his cooking style."
Viewers can expect to see the chef helifish in Australia and explore the outback's indigenous food culture. Ripert attends a global feat in Tasmania, too, before heading to Korea. There he learns about 150 varieties of kimchi, tastes "temple food by day and rich nightlife by dark," and even checks out ginseng grown in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. The twelve-episode season will premiere on Saturday, February 28. Check out clip from a previous season below:
