Food conglomerate PepsiCo has filed a patent for its groundbreaking idea of adding "carbonated candy" (perhaps better known by its Pop Rocks brand name) to granola bars. According to FoodNavigator, the patent applications suggest the fizzy candy could be embedded within chewy granola bars or serve as an outer coating for the product, nicely straddling the line between "granola bar" and "candy bar."
