Saveur magazine has named Adam Sachs — currently Tasting Table’s editorial director — its new Editor-in-Chief. According to a press release, Sachs is a multiple James Beard Award-winning writer and has served as a contributing editor for Bon Appétit, Travel + Leisure, and Details magazines. Previously, he served as a senior staff writer at GQ and has edited the food section of Time Out New York. David Ritchie, Chief Content Officer of Bonnier Corp., Saveur's parent company, notes that it was Sachs’ "passion for food and travel, his award-winning journalism, [and] his vision for the brand" that won him the position.
Sachs is replacing former Editor-in-Chief James Oseland who resigned last month after 16 years with the magazine. Oseland is now working to revamp Rodale's Organic Gardening magazine. Sachs takes on the Editor-in-Chief role at Saveur on October 6.
