James Oseland, who resigned as the Editor-in-Chief of Saveur yesterday, is moving on to revamp Rodale's Organic Gardening magazine. According to the New York Times, Oseland will "start a new magazine brand" that turns Organic Gardening into a new title called Organic Life. A Rodale spokeswoman tells the NYT that the new magazine will cover "food, garden, home and well-being" and should launch next year with a March/April issue. Oseland tells the paper that he looks forward to "creating an absolutely awesome, beautiful product."
Oseland was involved with Saveur for 16 years, but the magazine's parent company has decided to "implement structural changes." Besides retooling a magazine, Oseland is also busy writing his memoir Jimmy Neurosis which is described as a "tell-all of Oseland's experiences during the 1970s punk rock scene." It will be published by Ecco in 2015.
