Multi-media conglomerate Condé Nast has decided to group its recipe-focused website and blog Epicurious.com under its award-winning food magazine Bon Appétit. The announcement came along with the news that Condé Nast was spinning its once-popular shopping title Lucky into an e-commerce venture, reports Racked. About a third of the sales staff at Epicurious.com will be let go, including Senior Vice President Carolyn Kremins.
According to the New York Post, the newly installed editorial team at Epicurious.com will remain in place, but its experienced Editor-In-Chief — who has been with the company for less than a year — Nilou Motamed will now answer to Bon Appétit Editor-In-Chief Adam Rapoport. Other staffers, including Restaurant Editor Matt Duckor (who had previously worked under Rapoport in the digital media department at Bon Appétit, and was once an intern at Eater), appear to be staying put — at least for now.
