Entitled The BBQ Rules, the book will feature Mixon's "trusted techniques," personal stories about how he learned the craft of barbecue, and a "history of authentic barbecue." There are no details regarding a release date yet.
Next, Publishers Marketplace notes that Mina Holland, the editor of the Guardian's cooking section, will publish a book called The World on a Plate: 40 Cuisines, 100 Recipes, and the Stories Behind Them. It will be released by Penguin and will explore "what people eat and why around the globe." Readers can expect recipes, anecdotes, and cultural history. There is no release date yet.
Pastry chef, food photographer, and the blogger behind Style Sweet CA, Tessa Huff, has landed a deal with Stewart, Tabori, & Chang an imprint of Abrams. Entitled Artisan Layer Cakes, Publishers Marketplace notes that it will feature "classic and contemporary recipes" for "bakery-worthy" cakes that can be made in a home kitchen. The book will also contain "industry tips and tricks" and new flavors of cake, fillings, and frosting. No information regarding a release date has been given yet.
Veteran cookbook author Raghavan Iyer (660 Curries, The Turmeric Trail) will publish a cookbook called You Say Potato with Workman. Publishers Marketplace writes that the book will contain all kinds of potato recipes that "will fit into any type of diet."
