Last night comedian Stephen Colbert gave a Tip of the Hat to the "pizza artists" of Domino's. Referring to a new TV commercial that features employees who are also painters, glass-blowers, and graffiti artists, Colbert is impressed: "Yes, Domino's is like Paris in the '20s. If Paris were sandwiched in between a UPS store and a DressBarn." The commercial suggests that making art by hand and making "artisanal" pizza by hand for a fast food chain is more or less the same thing. Colbert praises how these artists have shared their stories ("because the most important thing to me when I order a box of wings is the life story of the guy who dumped them in there"). Go, watch:
