Last night on The Colbert Report, host Stephen Colbert tackled the latest hybrid food to hit the market: Dewitos, PepsiCo's Doritos-flavored Mountain Dew. The soda, Colbert quips, answers the long pondered question, "What if my Doritos were wet and caffeinated?"
Pepsico has been testing the mash-up drink on college campuses, and one student notes that it "tasted like orange with a Doritos aftertaste." Colbert remarks that this "makes sense" considering that one of the "main ingredients in Doritos is aftertaste." He then salutes the "snackologists" that came up with the absurd drink pointing out that up until now "you'd have to consume Mountain Dew and Doritos separately, then throw up in your mouth a little."
