The season premiere of Bizarre Foods America airs July 9 and takes place in Las Vegas (after a "one-hour retrospective special" 100th episode) Ever wonder what happens to the leftover food from all those Vegas buffets? Wonder no more: it seems that the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino ships its leftovers off to the nearby RC Farms (Nevada's Largest, and Las Vegas's only pig farm) to use as feed. Also of note, RC sells their pigs to a processor who in turn, you know, processes them and then sells them back to some of the casinos. The cycle of life, in pig/buffet form.
Warning: this is a pretty gross clip. There's a dump truck full of barfy looking leftovers, and Zimmern references "particulates" flying through the air when they're dumped. He adds, "At the end of the day today I think I might burn my underwear."
